Housing

The Miami housing market includes traditional Florida single family home neighborhoods, high rise communities and golf communities together with larger homes on acreage. As a second home buyer’s destination, Miami has a wide range of housing choices, including beach communities, boating communities and golf course communities. The beach condo is becoming very popular with second home buyers as the location and ocean views make the re sale values secure. There is currently an abundance of condos available in Miami at present at knock down prices.

Where a little further inland are the ever popular golf communities, generally when you buy on a golf community you become a member to the golf club. Living on a golf club community provides plenty of extra green space, nature trails, retention ponds and preserves therefore living on a golf community can provide additional privacy and relaxation benefits.

The local Miami Dade Property Appraiser can give additional information into local taxes and assessed property values.

Many options are available for financing on properties, overseas investors should consider all financing options as many lenders are requiring a higher than normal deposit for foreign national mortgages. A popular mortgage is a multi currency mortgage allowing the buyers to switch between currencies taking an advantage of currency exchange gains.
